Why am I the right photographer for you?
For me, this isn't just about showing up on your wedding day, taking some pretty photos and leaving. It’s about getting to know you as best I can before the big day that I can take photos that really feel authentic to who you are. I want you to be able to look back on your photos and see yourselves in them - including all the laughter, tears and all the flavours of love. I’m going to be there every step of the way - laughing with you, crying next to you, supporting you through all the moments, big and small, and most importantly - getting down on the dance floor with you! It’s my hope that we stay friends long after your wedding day is done.
Get to Know Me…
Hi! I’m Bree. Some would call me a free-spirit or a wanderer, but mostly I’m just a nature loving, adventurous soul who really gives a shit about taking care of our planet and the people (& animals!) who inhabit it. I’ve been photographing weddings for almost a decade now, but I’ve always loved photography. The feeling of nostalgia you get when you’re looking through an old photo album brings me so much joy, and I hope to give you that same feeling when you look back through your wedding photos years and decades from now.
The couples I photograph aren’t afraid of getting their dress a little dirty, don’t bat an eye at jumping in the ocean or climbing a boulder for that epic photo and they are always laughing (especially at my weird jokes). If you care about keeping our planet beautiful and spend your free time getting lost in nature, listening to good music or exploring new places, then we probably already have a lot in common. Most importantly, I’m sure you are an awesome human and you treat people with compassion and love.
Oh, and you probably love dogs.

My van Jupiter and I are always ready to hit the road! We’ve seen some pretty epic places together on our many adventures around BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. We would love to add the Yukon, Haida Gwaii and eventually the USA to our list. I also love to travel in other countries and am usually planning my next trip across the world!

MUSIC
Music is my love language. My most cherished memories have been centred around musical experiences. I’ve met all of my best friends on dance floors or at music festivals. When I’m not adventuring in nature or photographing weddings, you can probably find me getting down on a dance floor, getting weird at a music festival or memorizing the lyrics to all my favourite songs.

GIVING BACK
I really care a lot about a lot of different things. Some of the causes I am most passionate about are mental health, homelessness and addiction. I spend a few days a month working at the local Drop In Centre and I am always advocating for more mental health awareness. I also really want to take care of our beautiful planet and am working on becoming as sustainable as possible. I purchase carbon offsets for all travel I take in an effort to be more carbon neutral!

When you book me as your wedding photographer you get all of my knowledge, my 10 years of experience and also, all of my dedication to making sure your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible, while still getting all the most amazing images to remember your day by! I am always happy to help with your timeline and answer any questions you might have and you can bet I’ll spend days scouting out the perfect locations for your photos! You also get alllllll my hype and encouragement and awkward jokes to make sure we are laughing the whole time we are together (unless you want to cry of happiness, which I am of course here for too!)

But honestly, I care more about the connection I have with my couples and the love you share for each other than a perfectly styled wedding that has no soul. You know what I mean? If you’re in love and you want to get married in an alleyway wearing a white pantsuit or in your parents living room - I will put just as much heart and soul into your photos as if you were getting married on top of the Eiffel Tower.

Q & AQuestionAnswerDo you only photograph outdoor weddings?
While I primarily shoot intimate weddings & elopements that are set in beautiful outdoor/natural locations, some of my favourite weddings have been in urban locations! I love anything that is new or unique!
Will you help us with the timeline? Do you have any vendors you can recommend?
I love helping out with whatever I can! I know that you’ve probably never planned a wedding before and it can be overwhelming so I have lots of suggestions and tips on how to plan your day!
We only need a few hours of coverage. Do you offer smaller packages or discounts?
I offer a few smaller packages for elopements and microweddings which are available Monday through Thursday! Inquire for more info.
What’s your photography style? Will you help us pose?
For most of the day I shoot documentary style, capturing moments as they unfold naturally, although I’m not shy about asking you to stand in some window light. I love to play with light and shadow and to show off the beauty of the landscape. During our portrait session there is more of an element of posing and I will direct & guide you through some prompts and poses. Almost all of my past clients had never been in front of a camera before either and they would be happy to tell you I get you comfortable pretty quickly. But my favourite shots are still always the candid ones as you fix your dress, or when your partner says something hilarious and you burst out laughing so I love to leave room for you to be yourselves and just enjoy the moment together. I edit in a moody but true-to-life style, always maintaining natural skin tones and depth! My editing style is part of the package deal and while it may vary ever so slightly depending on the conditions of the specific day, my consistent style is what you are hiring me for so please don’t ask if I can change it for you! What you see is what you can expect.
Do you travel for weddings?
Oh heck yes. I love exploring new places with beautiful humans!! I photograph weddings & elopements throughout BC and Alberta but I am ALWAYS down to travel somewhere new! The farthest I’ve travelled for a wedding is New Zealand! I’ve got a giant list of places in Canada & worldwide that I would LOVE to photograph with an amazing couple - check it out here for some inspiration!
