Vancouver Island Wedding & Elopement Photographer

intentional wedding photography for couples who laugh often, love hard and aren't afraid of getting a little dirty (or wet!) on their wedding day. If you care about keeping our planet beautiful and spend your free time getting lost in nature, listening to good music or exploring new places, then we will be a great fit.

Oh, And you probably love dogs.

Hi, I’m Bree (she/her)

Dreamer, dancer, stargazer, photographer, lover of music and moments.

Some would call me a free-spirit or a wanderer, but mostly I’m just a nature loving, adventurous soul who really gives a shit about taking care of our planet and the people (& animals!) who inhabit it. I’ve been a Vancouver Island wedding photographer for almost a decade now, but I’ve had a camera in my hand since I can remember. The feeling of nostalgia when you’re looking through an old family photo album brings me so much joy, and I hope to give you that same feeling when you look back through your wedding photos years and decades from now. After all, photos are all we really have left at the end of the day.

Vancouver Island continues to be the place that holds my most cherished friendships, where I swim in the ocean year-round, and of course - is the place where I photograph the most beautiful Vancouver island weddings and elopements for couples who also love the Pacific Northwest as much as I do. With it’s wild weather, moss-covered trees and rugged coastlines, the artist in me thrives in the fog and rain and I am always excited to connect with more couples to photograph in this beautiful place. I am constantly exploring Vancouver Island and I know some hidden gems on the coast which would make for an especially magical destination for an intimate Vancouver Island wedding or elopement.

Why am I the right photographer for you?

For me, this isn't just about showing up on your wedding day, taking some pretty photos and leaving. It’s about getting to know you as best I can before the big day that I can take photos that really feel authentic to who you are. I want you to be able to look back on your photos and see yourselves in them - including all the laughter, tears and all the flavours of love. I’m going to be there every step of the way - laughing with you, crying next to you, and supporting you through all the moments, big and small. It’s my hope that we stay friends long after your wedding day is done.

Things I love about the West Coast…

EXPLORING

My van Jupiter and I are always ready to hit the road! We’ve seen some pretty epic places together on our many adventures around BC and there always seems to be more to find. The endless logging roads, tiny coastal villages and rocky coves surrounded by old growth trees are something I will never get tired of exploring. We would love to head up some roads less travelled to check out Northern BC, go back to Haida Gwaii and hit up allllll the hot springs along the way.

THE MUSIC

Music is my love language. My most cherished memories have been centred around musical experiences, mostly on the west coast. I’ve met all of my best friends on dance floors or at music festivals. When I’m not adventuring in nature or photographing weddings, you can probably find me getting down on a dance floor, getting weird at a music festival or memorizing the lyrics to all my favourite songs.

THE PEOPLE WHO CARE

Something I have always been passionate about is the environment. I studied Earth and Ocean Sciences in University and learned a lot about renewable energy and sustainability. Coming from Alberta, I have to admit that it is really refreshing to be surrounded by so many people who are doing their part to make the world a better place. When you’re on Vancouver Island it really feels like progress is being made & I am super grateful for that.
