It feels like only yesterday Lindsey, Steve and I were rescheduling their Calgary East Village engagement session due to sleet and snow. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to have any issues with bad weather... it usually makes for an extra layer of moodiness that only Mother Nature can provide. But in this case, I'm pretty happy we waited out the session because we got the perfect glowing golden hour light for their photos.
Lindsey and Steve wanted to do something a little different than the usual engagement photos you see around Calgary which typically end up taking place out in Kananaskis or Banff. I love the mountains but I am always up for a challenge and a downtown Calgary urban engagement session was just the thing! We started out at the Simmons Building for a drink and some appies and then went for a wander around the East Village before heading back to the rooftop patio for a few sunset shots. I may or may not have been reprimanded for one of the photos below so just cover your eyes if you're the type to ask permission rather than beg forgiveness. (Can you tell I'm the latter?)
This weekend, Lindsey and Steve will be tying the knot at one of Calgary's newest wedding venues, The Hudson. And the ceremony is taking place on Stephen Ave! I've never heard of a Stephen Avenue wedding before and I can't wait to see how it all comes together. Looking forward to capturing some more memories for these two lovebirds and getting down on the dance floor too! See you in the city!
