Traci and I have been friends for many, many years. Our friendship began on the dance floors of Victoria, travelled to the amazing beaches of the West Coast, spanned two provinces, reunited in Calgary on the dance floor once again, and now we've finally both landed back in the same city. I remember the first night we got together for tacos just after I had moved back to Calgary and she brought Travis along. He got up to use the bathroom at some point and Traci leaned across the table and said to me, "I'm going to marry that man." And here we are, 2 years later, and it's coming true!
Traci has the greenest thumb of anyone I know. Her garden is inspiring and she even taught me a few things this summer (and then I neglected all my plants and they died, but thats no one's fault but my own). So when she suggested we do their engagement photos at Sunnyside greenhouses I couldn't have been more excited. I love when sessions are unique and represent something important to the couple. Plus I've been dying to do a session in a greenhouse for what feels like forever! Even though most of the flowers were gone by the time we did the shoot, there was still a lot of greenery to play around with! I could have shot in there for hours if it wasn't for the 35 degree heat and humidity.
Also, Lou was clearly a highlight of this session. He is the kind of floof that dreams are made of.
I'm so happy for these two & their fur babies. I can't wait to cat sit Feifel (not seen here, but not forgotten) again soon! I love you guys!
